Restar's Vision (management philosophy) is built upon the words: "Global (in view and scale)/Social Contribution/Co-creation and Innovation". This is the core principle of our management — to create value that cannot be achieved alone by partnering with those who bring diverse strengths, and to contribute to the advancement of society. In October 2025, a new initiative embodying this spirit of "co-creation" began to take shape.
Restar has deepened its strategic collaboration with FRAMOS GmbH ("FRAMOS"), headquartered in Munich, Germany, through its consolidated subsidiary ViMOS Technologies GmbH ("ViMOS").
Restar acquired the sales rights for image sensors manufactured by Sony Semiconductor Solutions ("Sony") that FRAMOS had held in the European and North American regions. The business acquisition in Europe and the acquisition of shares in the North American subsidiary FRAMOS Technologies Inc. were both completed on October 1, 2025, at which point ViMOS changed its trade name to "RESTAR FRAMOS Technologies GmbH." With over 40 years of history, FRAMOS has delivered high-performance vision systems to the industrial equipment, medical, and robotics markets across Europe and North America. By bringing together FRAMOS's deep domain expertise and Restar's extensive product lineup and customer base built across domestic and international markets, the two companies will drive significant business expansion as one.
The essence of our collaboration with FRAMOS extends well beyond the "outcome" of acquiring sales rights. By combining the customer networks and technical expertise that FRAMOS has cultivated in European and North American markets with Restar's global product portfolio, we are now able to achieve business growth that neither company could have realized independently. In our sales approach to industrial and medical equipment manufacturers, we will offer customers more comprehensive solutions through cross-selling — pairing Sony image sensors with the semiconductors and electronic components that Restar handles.
Image sensors manufactured by Sony serve as the "eyes" embedded in factory inspection systems, autonomous driving platforms, and more — and Sony holds the world's top market share (by monetary value) in this field. As labor shortages become an increasingly serious challenge across the globe, industrial robots and automated inspection systems powered by high-precision image sensors represent one of the most effective solutions. Through our co-creation with FRAMOS, Restar will ensure that these technologies reach the companies that need them most, contributing to improved productivity and sustainable development for society as a whole.

By establishing a joint venture with a German partner — one whose culture and business practices differ from our own — and building an operational structure firmly rooted in the European and North American markets, this initiative is a concrete expression of our Vision: "By expanding our business arena to encompass the entire world, we contribute to sustainable social evolution." Together with our partners, Restar will continue to deepen co-creation and take on the challenges facing the world through the power of electronics.
Co-Creation Unlocks the Door to the World
