On April 1, 2026, wrestler Akari Fujinami joined Restar. Having conquered the World Championships, the Asian Games, and the Paris 2024 in the 53kg category, Fujinami chose to take on a new challenge by moving up to the 57kg class. At the U23 World Championships in October 2025 — her first international competition since the weight class change — she claimed victory, and went on to win the Emperor's Cup in December of the same year. Furthermore, her consecutive winning streak in official competitions, which began in September 2017 when she was in her second year of junior high school, has now reached 150 and continues to grow (as of April 2026). Despite her many brilliant achievements, she never rests on her laurels, continually pushing herself to greater heights — an attitude that deeply resonates with Restar's corporate philosophy: "Through innovative ideas and passion, we take on challenges and aim for higher targets." Restar, too, continues to push forward — building on its core business of semiconductor and electronic component sales while expanding into new fields such as energy, environment, IT, and AI, striving to grow into a globally active corporate group. The aspirations of both are deeply aligned, as each presses forward toward their respective new goals.
“Social Contribution” is one of the core principles of Restar's management philosophy. Behind our continued support for wrestlers lies a deep respect for the sport and a steadfast desire to support athletes in their pursuits. While wrestling is a discipline in which Japan takes great pride on the world stage, it is also true that the sport receives comparatively limited corporate support. That is precisely why we believe that providing athletes with an environment where they can focus on their competition — and encouraging them in their challenges — contributes to the development of the sport itself, while also fulfilling our responsibilities as a corporate member of society.

Restar provides its athletes with a supportive environment — including secured training time — built on a long-term perspective with international competitions in mind, enabling them to pursue their challenges with confidence and peace of mind. At the same time, the athletes' relentless drive and the mental resilience they have forged through overcoming adversity serve as a powerful source of inspiration for Restar's employees. Through watching them compete, as well as engaging with them in everyday interactions and company events, employees are exposed to their experiences and mindset — helping to elevate the awareness and ambition of the organization as a whole. When both parties strive for excellence in their respective fields and inspire one another, a synergistic effect is born. This is what Restar envisions as co-creation through wrestling support.
On April 1, 2026, Akari Fujinami took her first step as a Restar employee. This is not a finish line — it is a starting point. Having chosen the new challenge of a weight class change, Fujinami's next goal is to stand at the top of the world in the 57kg category. Restar, too, will continue to reach for greater heights as a global corporate group. Inspiring one another, and opening up new possibilities in each of their fields — the journey of Restar and Fujinami is only just beginning.
"I am beginning this new chapter as a member of Restar with a truly refreshing sense of excitement. Standing alongside my fellow new colleagues at the ceremony reminded me once again of what it means to be a working professional, and I felt both anticipation and a touch of nerves as I stepped into this new stage. Having Restar by my side — supporting my athletic career — is an immeasurable source of strength, and I am deeply grateful. I will face each day of training with sincerity and dedication, and I will do my best to meet the expectations of everyone at Restar as I aim for victory at international competitions."
Co-Creation Unlocks the Door to the World
Restar's Vision (management philosophy) is built upon the words: "Global (in view and scale)/Social Contribution/Co-creation and Innovation" This is the core principle of our management — to create value that cannot be achieved alone by partnering with those who bring diverse strengths, and to contribute to the advancement of society.
